Nib target those born in 1983 with latest ‘good to be human’ ad
Health insurer Nib is targeting people turning 31 this year in a new campaign aimed at encouraging the age group to take out a policy before they incur the Lifetime Health Cover loading on July 1.
Created by Saatchi & Saatchi ‘because you were born in 1983’, part of the brand’s ‘Good to be human’ campaign, features a montage of footage gathered from the 80s and early 90s, set against the 1984 released track ‘Together in Electric Dreams’.

It will run across TV, online and outdoor until June 30.
Past ‘Good to be human’ executions for Nib include the Valentine’s Day themed spot and a wedding themed commercial.
Great strategy. The unemployed under 30 can’t get the dole … and the second they do they are hit up for health insurance.
Can anyone name any other industry that gets 30% of their income in the form of a cheque from the government (i.e. the rebate) every month?

If “you were born in 1983” then none of the token early 80’s memorabilia in the creative has any relevance to you. Being born in 1983, you’d be more attached to all things mid-late 90’s.

Agree with anonymous – the ad has great meaning for me, as it reminds me of my teenage years. I was born in the late 60s.
