Nick Bell launches digital agency, says NFTs aren’t a fad
Nick Bell has launched a digital agency Mooning, with a focus on Web3 marketing and the Metaverse.
The agency is headed up by Bell and Lisa Teh, co-founder of coaching and training company Lisnic. Mooning is part of Superist, a global digital agency group.
The launch clients are mostly under NDA, and Mumbrella has been told they include an international bank, TripleAAA gaming companies and large scale NFT marketplaces.
Bell said: “We saw a gap in the market for an agency that could help brands execute successful NFT and Metaverse campaigns.
“NFTs aren’t a fad. In three to five year’s time having an NFT strategy will be as common as having a social media strategy. The shift to Web3 technology such as NFTs and the metaverse will change the marketing landscape and the creator economy as we know it.
“We’ve had decades of experience in the digital industry, so we will be applying that knowledge to help our clients get first mover advantage in this new space.”
Teh commented: ” The Web3 space is heating up and we’ve barely scratched the surface with the use cases of these digital assets.
“We’ve seen companies try and execute Web3 campaigns but have fallen short as they haven’t understood what is needed to be successful in the space. You need to get your hands dirty. You need to be actively engaged in the community, buying, selling, minting NFTs and immersing yourself on the relevant social platforms to know what’s going on.”
Bell is a startup investor and founder of 12 digital agencies. In May 2021, Bell opened an Australian office for his digital agency First Page.
NFTs have begun to spring up in the Australian marketing landscape, with brands such as Kraft Heinz, Vicinity Centres, CoinSpot and the Australian Open getting into the space.
The Metaverse concept has been gaining more mainstream attention as of late, particularly as Facebook rebranded to Meta last year, marking a pivot away from social media.
Nick is undoubtedly a smart guy and I respect everything that he has achieved, but I’m sorry, NFTs are a fad and complete trash.
It’s a low risk opportunity for him though: all of his separate agencies / companies are under the one roof and operate more as departments of one big business as opposed to separate entities.
I predict that his is the last we will hear of this ‘Mooning’

Can either of them explain what a Metaverse campaign actually is right now in 2022?
