Nicola Mansfield departs Deloitte Digital to become managing director at Interbrand

Nicola Mansfield has been appointed as managing director of Interbrand, taking over from Davy Rennie who is moving within the DDB group to Tribal as national MD.

Mansfield will be joining Interbrand from Deloitte where she has been the director of experience design, spatial and brand since September 2015. She was previously an experience consultant at customer retail specialist Mash Up, which was acquired by Deloitte Digital in 2015 and instigated her shift to the consultancy.

In her new position, Mansfield will be attempting to expand the consultancy credentials of Interbrand – a challenge she said she is excited for.

“I am incredibly excited to leverage Interbrand’s proven credentials and talent to shape a consultative brand experience offer that responds to the changing needs of customer-centric brands,” she said.

“The permission our clients give us puts us in a unique position as their strategic creative partner, ensuring business and brand strategy work in unison.”

Interbrand CEO Nathan Birch said it was a significant hire for the company.

“Nicola brings unique global insight to the power of brand experience, having been instrumental in driving brand and business growth for numerous brands internally over the years.

“She’s a significant hire for Interbrand and shows the calibre of talent that Interbrand can now attract following a period of significant growth.”

When Davy Rennie spoke to Mumbrella about his appointment at Tribal, he spoke about Mansfield, his former colleague at Deloitte Digital, taking over the reigns at Interbrand.

“I’m leaving Interbrand in a good place, a great place and in very capable hands in an ex-colleague and a good friend in Nicola Mansfield. She’s also sort of forged in consultancy and has a deep understanding of the brand world, and she’ll be an amazing asset for Interbrand and also strengthen our collaborative relationship that we have with all the leaders in our portfolio, so super super exciting times,” Rennie said.
