Nicole McInnes nabs top marketing gig at WW

WW – the company formerly known as Weight Watchers – has a new director of marketing and commercial.

Nicole McInnes, who has held top marketing jobs at Eharmony, Woolworths and Pandora, takes up the role after her CMO position at Ovo was made redundant earlier this year.

McInnes spent time as Pandora’s marketing director

WW is in the process of repositioning from purely a weight-loss focused organisation, to one about “wellness”, “healthy habits” and “a helpful mindset”.

WW officially relaunched last year, and the brand said McInnes’ appointment will help make significant inroads in embedding the WW brand and ensuring its future growth amongst Australian and New Zealand audiences.

“We are thrilled to welcome Nicole McInness to the WW team as our director of marketing and commercial as we continue on our journey of transformation to become the world’s partner in weight loss and wellness,” said WW ANZ’s managing director Mathiew Le Renard. “She brings a wealth of expertise in brand, digital and subscription marketing which will be invaluable as we create cut-through with new audiences and deliver greater value to our member base, as well as genuine passion to deliver on our mission to inspire healthy habits and make wellness accessible for all.”

McInnes added: “WW is at an amazing point in its history and I am so excited to join at the beginning of their future-focused transformation. What has remained is their mission to change people’s lives from the inside out, and leading the marketing, digital and commercial teams to deliver on that promise is an inspiring challenge.”
