NIDA to teach Mumbrella360 delegates presentation skills
Mumbrella has teamed up with Australia’s most celebrated drama institute to help delegates to Mumbrella360 improve their presentation skills.
NIDA – the National Institute of Dramatic Art – will lead the session focusing on the skills needed for effective communication, including physical and vocal presence and presenting with impact.
The session will be tailored to meet the needs of media and marketing professionals, and will give practical training which builds on NIDA’s core acting techniques. It will be presented by former professional actor and voice teacher Natasha McNamara.
It will include tips on how to overcome nerves when presenting in high pressure situations, controlling your breath and posture to deliver compelling presentations with confidence, and employing acting tools to persuade and convince your audience.
The session is a tailored version of NIDA’s corporate training program.
NIDA is the training ground where many of Australia’s leading actors and performers learned their craft, from Hugo Weaving to Cate Blanchett and Mel Gibson. A NIDA spokesperson said: “Our training programs incorporate core acting techniques that are taught at NIDA, to improve and enhance all areas of business performance. These techniques equip participants with the skills to become a confident, inspirational leader and communicator”.
Mumbrella360 takes place on June 5 and 6.
The NIDA corporate performance course is excellent. Expensive but excellent…… and not for the fragile ego. I’m pretty sure most mumbrella360 delegates won’t have a problem with that.
