Nine wins the ratings week despite Seven’s Little Big Shots and Ten’s Bachelorette success

It was another successful week for Nine with The Block’s audience numbers delivering a 22% audience share win over Seven’s 20.7% and Ten’s 12.2%.

The most watched programs of last week were the Sunday, Monday and Tuesday episodes of The Block, with metro audiences of 1.546m, 1.328m and 1.245m respectively.

Nine also had the most watched news program of the week, with Nine News Sunday attracting 1.157m metro viewers.

Seven’s Little Big Shots still proved a success as the fifth most watched program of the week with 1.155m metro viewers, followed by Seven’s Sunday Night, which managed 1.017m metro viewers.

This week’s win brings Nine’s weekly ratings wins for the year to 13, while Seven remains on 17.

While Ten’s The Bachelorette performed well on both Wednesday and Thursday night, it wasn’t enough to shift Ten’s average audience share.

However the launch of the third series, which features Sophie Monk, placed 12th on the weekly ratings ladder, just behind the second episode, which made the top 10 shows of the week.

ABC’s share was 11% and its most watched program was The Doctor Black Mysteries, which achieved 773,000 metro viewers.

Gruen also made the top 20 for the week, with 770,000 metro viewers.

SBS’ share was 5% and its most watched show was Great American Railroad Journeys, with 331,00 metro viewers.

While Nine won the week, Seven collected a win on Saturday night thanks to the AFL finals and news.

The most watched program of the evening was Seven’s AFL match between Richmond and Greater Western Sydney, which attracted 957,000 metro viewers across Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

Also in sport, Nine’s Rugby League final between the Sydney Roosters and North Queensland Cowboys, had 633,000 metro viewers across Sydney and Brisbane.

On the news front, Seven won the night with 892,000 metro viewers, while Nine News Saturday had 642,000 metro viewers.

It was a strong night for ABC with its news offering placing third with 650,000 metro viewers. ABC’s Home Fires and Shetland also made the top 10 shows for Saturday night, with metro audiences of 545,000 and 490,000 respectively.

Seven won Saturday night with an average audience share of 22%, over Nine’s 20.5%, ABC’s 13.8%, Ten’s 5.6% and SBS’ 4.2%.
