Nine is beefing up its lifestyle team, with Helen McCabe, the newly appointed head of lifestyle, tapping Grazia’s Damien Woolnough as consulting editor for 9Honey and News Corp’s Kelly Baker as beauty editor.
Woolnough joins the Nine team after four months working on the revival of Grazia as a digital-only publication. Prior to that Woolnough was signed on to be editor-in-chief of L’Officiel Australia; however, he quit after one month, saying the magazine was “not the right size and cut for me”.

Woolnough tells Mumbrella: “At Grazia I was contributing as an editor at large which gave me the opportunity to vent my salty spleen on matters of style but didn’t engage my other skills as an editor. I loved working with them.
“I’m looking forward to a more hands on role at 9Honey and I’m really excited to be working with the dynamic Helen McCabe again.”
Baker joins Nine after six months with News Corp as a beauty editor and was previously the editor of Bauer Media’s Shop Till You Drop. It’s also not the first time Baker has worked with Helen McCabe, having worked with her on The Australian Women’s Weekly for nearly five years as beauty and health director.

Helen McCabe said: “Damien and Kelly are leaders in their fields and are joining nine.com.au to help us develop our lifestyle sites, and in particular 9Honey. It is early days but I am pleased they have agreed to join the talented team and I am excited to be working with them again.”
9Honey launched in April 2015.
