Nine News apologises over phone hacking claim
Nine News has apologised to News Ltd after wrongly alleging that its executives were involved in the phone hacking scandal engulfing sister company News International in the UK.

The apology was aired in last night’s bulletin.
News International, owned by News Corp, closed down the News of the World after the extent of its phone hacking activities became known
Tim Burrowes founded Mumbrella in 2008. He worked on Mumbrella until 2021. At various points he was editor, content director and editor-at-large.
