Nine orders Today Extra staff to self-isolate after guest Rita Wilson tests positive for coronavirus

Nine employees who were in “prolonged contact” with Rita Wilson during her appearance on Today Extra earlier this week have been tested and are self-isolating for 14 days, following today’s announcement that the actor and her husband, Tom Hanks, tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

Today Extra hosts David Campbell and Belinda Russell are among those affected. Arrangements for alternative hosts are still being confirmed. Tracy Grimshaw has also pulled out from her A Current Affair hosting duties tonight since she had minor surgery last week, with Today Show host Karl Stefanovic taking her place.

Hanks and Wilson are in Australia, with Wilson appearing on the Nine show on Monday
