Nine Radio appoints Hayley Bourne as head of digital audio

Nine Entertainment Co has announced that Hayley Bourne is joining Nine Radio as head of digital audio. Bourne has recently returned to Australia from the UK.

This hire follows Nine Radio’s recent focus on overhauling its analogue radio operations, moving towards a fully integrated digital system.

In her new role, Bourne will be responsible for the creation, implementation and execution of Nine’s digital audio strategy.

Bourne has 17 years media experience, across TV, radio, digital, podcasting, social and production, most recently as head of brand partnerships at Joe Media in the UK. In this role Bourne was responsible for the distribution and commercialisation of audio content across digital and social platforms.

Matt Cram, who held the role of head of digital at Nine Radio, has been appointed head of digital content and growth as part of the ongoing restructure. Nine Radio is still looking to hire a head of podcasts.

In January, Nine Radio promoted Anthony Smyth to a new role of commercial director of radio.

Nine is still recruiting for a head of podcasting, who will report to Bourne.
