Nine has secured another ratings week win, with a 21.8% primary channel share and 31.4% for the network, well ahead of closest competitor Seven which came in at 16.7% and 25.1%.
The ABC, on 12.5% and 18.2%, was ahead of Ten, which finished off on 11.3% and 17.6%.
Nine’s strength is derived from the earlier part of the week, with it easily winning last Sunday night (25.0% to Seven’s 13.2%), Monday (22.5% to 17.3%), Tuesday (24.4% to 17.25%), and Wednesday (24.7% to 17.3%).
Things were slightly closer on Thursday, with Nine on 19.3% and Seven on 16.4%, and Friday (19.4% to 17.1%). Seven eventually took the crown on Saturday night, with 19.0% to Nine’s 15.8%. The Nine Network won every night, however, slipping ahead on Saturday due to the strength of Go (4.9%) and Gem (4.7%), giving the network a share of 28.0% to Seven’s 27.6%.
Last Sunday, Nine Network had a mega 43.3% share. Its multi-channel Gem had a 13.1% share, thanks to its airing of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Final, nearly beating Seven’s primary channel share of 13.2%, and ahead of ABC’s 10.3% and Ten’s 9.2%.
The most popular program throughout the week across the key advertising demographics of those aged 16 to 39, 18 to 49, and 25 to 54 was Nine’s Married At First Sight, which also topped total people.
Wednesday’s episode had 1.049m, while Monday had 1.029m and Sunday 979,000.
