Nine signs deal with Phil ‘Gus’ Gould to provide ‘exclusive’ content across Wide World of Sports

Nine has signed rugby league commentator and former Fairfax Media columnist Phil ‘Gus’ Gould to provide exclusive content across all of Nine’s Wide World of Sports media platforms.

Gould’s signing with Nine extends his relationship with the network where he has occupied a prominent role in Nine’s coverage of rugby league since the 1990s.

Nine’s director of sport, Tom Malone, said in a statement: “Gus holds a unique position in rugby league, having played, coached, administered and commentated – all at the highest levels. He is one of the most respected voices in the game and he sits at the heart of what we strive for every day – giving our audience the best seat in the house, through the eyes of legends.
