Nine wins Thursday again but Ten fails to Rush ahead of Seven

Nine’s programming from 6pm through to 9:30 lead them to a clear win for Thursday night while Ten’s Thursday performer, Rush dropped back this week.

Nine’s shows 20 to 1, Getaway, Two and a Half Men, Nine News and Current Affair all featured in the top ten most watched programmes for Thursday night taking the network to an easy win with 31.5% share, according to preliminary OzTam ratings.

But unlike last week, Rush failed to perform well enough for Ten to overtake Seven for second spot. The 8:30 programme dropped by almost 300,000 viewers last night to just over 1 million.

Seven shifted its sinking comedy hour of TV Burp and Double Take back an hour to 9:30 which was reflected in its audience figures with TV Burp dropping by 130,000 to 551,000 and Double Take down by 182,000 to 426,000.

The network introduced a half hour episode of Gary Unmarried at 8pm with original scheduling adjusted for markets screening the first of the AFL finals live tonight. The episode pulled in 867,000 but is subject to amendment.
