Nine wins Wednesday night TV as Married At First Sight dominates

Nine’s Married at First Sight has dominated the ratings leader board for Wednesday TV with 1.26m metro viewers.

According to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings, the program was also the most watched across key advertising demographics 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Competing against Married at First Sight in the competitive 7.30pm time slot was Seven’s My Kitchen Rules which was the second most watched program for the evening, attracting 977,000 metro viewers.

Meanwhile, Ten’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here elimination managed 568,000 viewers.

Nine won the night with a 25.7% overall audience share, beating Seven’s 21.4%, ABC’s 10.5%, Ten’s 10.2% and SBS’ 4.7% share.

In the news battle, Nine News at 6.30pm was the most popular with 946,000 viewers, topping Seven News/Today Tonight’s 902,000.

At 6pm, Seven News saw 930,000 tune in compared to Nine News’ 912,000.
