Ninemsn revamps website with Megan Gale for L’Oreal
Cosmetic brand L’Oreal has signed on as the first advertiser for ninemsn’s new ‘Fireplace’ advertising space, a part of its new-look website which launched this week.
The ad position sits near the top of the page and wraps around the editorial to the side panels.
The L’Oreal campaign is to coincide with the announcement of the brand’s new ambassador, Australian model Megan Gale.
Dean Capobianco, ninemsn’s commercial director said: “The changes to the ninemsn homepage are based on 18 months of audience research and analytics. We received feedback from hundreds of users, media agencies and advertisers in live testing scenarios, panels and user surveys, which influenced the final design, functionality and advertising options”.
Ninemsn states 2.2 million people visit the homepage every day.
wow, normally you design your website to have ads in it.
Ninemsn has designed its ads with a website in it.
Massive fail guys – it’s not going to work,

I wonder if the ultra positive comments have a blocked ip address? (they smell like 9msn to me.)
It is horrible; however the target market for this sort of rubbish, (let’s face it who honestly goes to ninemsn) will probably continue to go “dur?”…

That is hideously ugly. Where are the news stories? Aren’t people going to think they’ve accidentally gone to the wrong website?
