Nine’s ARIA coverage loses out to Geeks and Glee

Nine’s rescue of The ARIA music awards failed to pay off on Thursday night, with coverage of the show attracting an average audience of just 708,000.

The rating was significantly behind that achieved by Ten last year which reached nearly 1.1m viewers.

In a quiet night’s viewing across the board, Seven won the evening with its lineup including the series final of Beauty And The Geek Australia rating just over 1m. Meanwhile Ten’s final of Glee also pulled in just over 1m.

Production of the ARIAs was shocking. Appalling sound and sub-Rock Eisteddfod costuming/routines. Just rotten.
