Nine’s Aussie drama House Husbands stays strong
Nine’s family drama House Husbands held onto its audience for its third outing, delivering an audience of 1.255m last night.
The program was fourth in total viewers for the night across the five city metro markets, according to preliminary ratings from OzTam.
Now in its third week, the result was up slightly on last week’s second episode of 1.206m. It rated 1.376m in its debut episode fro the network and production company, Playmaker.
Airing at 8.30pm, the show won its time slot ahead of Ten’s NCIS which rated 686,000 and Seven’s Mrs Brown’s Boys which rated 1.03m in its first episode and 568,000 in its second, however the second episode wasn’t aired in Sydney or Brisbane.
I’m surprised that House Husbands is holding its audience because I don’t think it’s very good. No real competition in the timeslot?
Having watched the first episode, felt the drama breaks between the adverts was good enough to buy the DVD of the series and watch it properly.
Totally agree Darcy, the acting & scriptwriting in House Husbands makes Neighbours look like Downton Abbey.
I’m guessing the only reason this (house husbands) has such a strong audience is because there is not much else out there in terms of aussie drama. We want to see aussie drama, but this is all we have. It’s OK, but compared to average british and american stuff, it doesn’t (and won’t) hold up…..
yes Darcy – no competition. channel 7 should shift X factor to Sunday nights.
