Nine’s head of drama Jo Horsburgh resigns

Nine’s head of drama Jo Horsburgh has resigned to “pursue new challenges” according to a statement from the network.

Michael Healy, Nine’s director of TV said that Horsburgh leaves Nine with “a great legacy” after eight years.

“Her dedication and commitment to the role has led to the incredible successes of the much loved series Sea Patrol, Rescue Special Ops and, of course, the outstanding critical and ratings success of the Underbelly franchise. We are pleased that while Jo is moving on, she leaves us with a great legacy – a slate of exciting, new drama projects to build on.”

Nine MD Jeffrey Browne said:“Jo has excelled in her role as Head of Drama at Channel Nine. Her record speaks for itself; Underbelly:Razor was the highest rating debut for a drama series in recent history on Australian television.

Mumbrella spoke to Horgsburgh about drama on Nine at the launch of Razor last month.
