Nine’s Underbelly beats Masterchef in Sunday ratings
Nine’s double episode of Underbelly: The Golden Mile returned to the top Sunday spot last night, a rise from its most recent ratings performance.
Underbelly saw both episodes attract over 1.6m respectively, according to preliminary overnight OzTam data in the main metro markets.
It was also a winner in the key advertiser demographics 16-39s, 18-49s and 25-45s.
The Nine show was followed by Seven’s evening news with 1.57m, which beat Ten’s Masterchef – Challenge with 1.58m.
Underbelly was not aired last Sunday due to the Logie Awards. The week prior to that Underbelly was the most-watched Sunday show with 1.5m average viewers. It was ahead of Masterchef which attracted 1.28m.
Ratings for Seven’s evening news, current affairs show Sunday Night, The Force and Border Security were affected by the broadcast of AFL coverage in Adelaide.
