Not much love for Nine’s farmers

The Farmer Wants a Wife was again beaten by Seven’s City Homicide as the 8:30 ratings showdown continues.

The fifth week of the Nine reality show pulled in just 1.1m viewers behind City Homicide’s 1.4m, according to preliminary OzTam TV ratings.

Though Nine can find some joy in the fact it isn’t coming last in the timeslot – Ten’s Good News Week only pulled 1 million last night – Seven’s programming at 8:30 over the past five weeks has continued to conquer and eventuate in a Monday night win for the network.

Seven’s news and current affairs hour also helped the network get over the line with Seven News attracting 1.6 million viewers and Today Tonight, 1.5 million – the two most watched programmes of the night.

Monday night’s share: Seven 28.6%, Nine 26.3%, Ten 21%, ABC 16.7%, SBS 7.5%
