NOVA appoints Nine exec as digital commercial director
NOVA Entertainment has announced the appointment of Esther Carlsen as digital commercial director.
Carlsen brings over two decades of experience to the role, most recently as commercial director for Nine Digital Audio. She was GM at Bench, and managing director at Group M’s programmatic business unit, Xaxis, as well as working in sales at Yahoo7! and ninemsn.
In her role at NOVA Entertainment, Carlsen will drive the company’s live and on-demand digital audio offering, ensuring advertisers can access a market-leading standard of digital product, service and capability.
Nicole Bence, who joined NOVA late last year in the role of Chief Commercial Officer, says of Carlsen’s appointment: “Audio is the fastest growing digital media in Australia and there are few executives better placed than Esther to capitalise on that opportunity.
“I’m confident she’ll play a critical role in continuing to drive the transformation and adoption necessary for us to lead the market.”

Carlsen starts today.
