Nova Entertainment announces 2018 on air line up

Nova Entertainment has confirmed its 2018 on air radio line up.

The announcement:

The Nova Network launches 2018, in a competitive and highly changing radio landscape, with the return of its stable and consistently performing on-air teams from Monday 22 January.

With an impressive line-up in breakfast, drive and nights, including number one shows around the country, Nova has recently agreed to new contracts with the network’s key talent for 2018 and beyond.

Cathy O’Connor, NOVA Entertainment’s CEO said, “We are proud of our performance which has been delivered as a result of our consistent on-air line up. We expect to build on our strength in 2018.”

Kate, Tim & Marty, Australia’s number one national Drive show (12% share and over 1.4 million listeners*) and consecutive Best On Air Team (FM) ACRA** winners, return for a fifth year. Such was the demand for Kate Ritchie, Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold, the show will also be syndicated across 48 stations on a regional platform, including Grant Broadcasters, Ace and Super Radio Network, from Monday 22 January.

One of the network’s most consistent performers over the past six years, Smallzy’s Surgery was the number one national night show for all eight surveys in 2017, secured the show’s highest ever national share (12.4%) along with the number one position in Melbourne (12.1% share), Brisbane (16.5%), Adelaide (14.6%) and Perth (15.4%)* in the final survey of the year.

Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa return to Sydney breakfast for the sixth year on Monday. A popular choice in breakfast, their national ‘Best Of’ show was #1 overall (12.4% in survey 8), and attracted over 800,000* listeners. Fitzy & Wippa also have strong social media engagement with millions of views per month. Their weekly Rap Battle has seen the duo take on high profile television and sporting personalities and even opposition leader Bill Shorten, with their battle against Australian rapper 360 reaching 1.2 million views***.

Nova 100’s Chrissie, Sam & Browny, with Chrissie Swan, Sam Pang and Jonathan Brown, Melbourne’s number one FM breakfast show (8.3% share*), return for a third year in breakfast.

Holding the mantle as one of the industry’s most experienced on air teams, Nathan Morris and Natalie Locke joined Nova 93.7 Perth the year the station launched, with Shaun McManus coming on board in 2009. Nathan, Nat & Shaun’s popularity has not faltered over the past 15 years with the trio the number one breakfast show in Perth for six consecutive surveys (survey 3 to 8) in 2017, securing more listeners than any other show in market and concluding the year with a 14.4% share and 354,000 listeners*.

Brisbane’s Ash, Kip & Luttsy with Susie O’Neill return in 2018 as the number one breakfast show (6-9am) in market with a 14.4% share and 346,000 listeners* while Lewis & Lowe with Hayley Pearson, with Dylan Lewis, Shane Lowe and Hayley, are Adelaide’s most listened to breakfast show with 177,300 listeners*.
