Nova Entertainment and Genea lock in second season of Modern Babies

Nova Entertainment and Genea have confirmed a second season for podcast Modern Babies.

The announcement:

NOVA Entertainment announced the release of Modern Babies season two, tailor made for Genea, the only podcast of its type to take a close look at fertility and share real patient IVF journeys.

Modern Babies launched in April this year to delve into fertility and IVF. The podcast created an intimate platform to provide information and support, using emotive and authentic storytelling, about the journey through fertility. Season one of Modern Babies has been shortlisted for the Mumbrella Publish Awards.

Modern Babies season two will continue this important conversation about IVF and fertility and is a deeper dive into personal stories behind conceiving. Patients share their experiences of the IVF process, explain their struggles with male factor infertility, detail the implications of cultural beliefs and donors and recipients outline their challenges.

Fertility is a very personal and often sensitive topic, Modern Babies provided a new and engaging way to inform, discuss and break down the stigma surrounding infertility and IVF in a non-judgemental and unique way.

Genea Head of Brand and Marketing, Nicole Papoutsis said, “Following the success and the positive feedback we received from patients and the industry for season one of Modern Babies, we didn’t hesitate to work with NOVA Entertainment on a new season.”

She added, “Season two provides deeper and richer stories about the fertility and IVF process. Knowledge is empowering and while it is a complex subject matter, Modern Babies allowed us to simplify the information by sharing patient’s stories and real life experiences that people can relate to, on an intimate platform.”

Kate Day, NOVA Entertainment’s National Commercial Strategy Director said, “Fertility is naturally quite a private topic, so podcasting was the perfect platform for Genea to connect with their clients, one to one. The intention of Modern Babies is to enable listeners to have a more informed fertility experience and because season one resonated with audiences so well, Genea wanted to continue that journey with those listeners with a second season. This season focuses more closely on the highs and lows of select patients’ IVF journey – it’s original and emotive story telling at its best.”
