Nova, Whooshkaa, PodcastOne and Amazon Alexa join the Mumbrella Audioland lineup

The keys to attracting the right podcast audience will be revealed in a new panel at Mumbrella Audioland featuring Nova Entertainment Brisbane program director and marketing lead, Jay Walkerden, and PodcastOne content director, Jennifer Goggin.

Walkerden and Goggin will be joined by Omny Studios CEO, Sharon Taylor, and Whooshkaa content and marketing director, Corey Layton, to reveal the key metrics to consider, podcast advertising formats that work, and future technological innovations for the medium.

They’ll also touch on scripting, production, distribution and how to market your podcast in a session that will concisely set out the tried and tested methods that will create significant opportunity to gain and maintain the right audience.

Audioland is the newest conference from Mumbrella and will go beyond marketing to explore the audio industry from a variety of perspectives. It will take place on May 2 at the Amora Hotel Jamison in Sydney.

Rolleston and Tohme will join Venessa Hunt in discussing smart audio

Also confirmed to speak on smart audio is Nova Entertainment’s Fayad Tohme and Amazon Alexa head of business development, Ben Rolleston. They will join Group M’s Venessa Hunt following her presentation on the current big talking point of the industry..

Hunt will reveal the latest trends in smart audio, from smart speakers to smart headphones, how consumers are using them, and the issues and opportunities for brands, with Tohme and Rolleston then joining to discuss those insights in more detail.

Montague joins the panel exploring podcast ideation

Meanwhile, the panel session focusing on podcast ideation has also gained a new speaker with Audiocraft founder and director, Kate Montague, joining the panel that includes Vice’s Wendy Syfret, ABC Audio Studios’ Kellie Riordan and Podcast One’s Grant Tothill.

New sessions will continue to be announced for Mumbrella Audioland, with topics around voice experience, where audio sits in the modern media mix, the future of audio beyond smart audio and significant research soon to be revealed.
