Nova’s Dee Curtis promoted into programming role

Nova Brisbane’s long serving staffer Dee Curtis has been promoted to assistant program director.

Curtis will also remain as the integration and marketing director of Nova 106.9.

The appointment will mean a dual role for Curtis who is also the station’s integration and marketing director.

Paul Jackson, dmg Radio Australia’s group program director, said: “I am delighted that Dee has accepted the role and will bring her extensive experience and natural ability to the programming team.”

Nova 106.9’s GM Sean Ryan, said: “We aim to have the best people in each position which meant we needed to rethink our structure in order to make that happen.

“Dee is an outstanding marketer who is already an integral part of daily content decisions so this was a natural appointment.”

Curtis was a part of the team that launched Nova in Brisbane in 2005. She was named best metro promotions director at the 2011 Australian Commercial Radio Awards.

Meanwhile, music director, Kate Casey, will also assume a dual role at the station after being appointed programming operations manager.
