Nova’s youth website Goat on the hunt for an editor
Nova Entertainment’s newly launched mobile-only platform, Goat, is on the hunt for an editor.
The youth site, which was announced in March this year, is Nova Entertainment’s biggest investment in a digital product to date.
When it was first announced, Nova boss Cathy O’Connor told Mumbrella the website was about engaging with the media company’s younger audience, by producing content that is ‘currently trending’.
The plan was to eventually have Goat run by its own editorial team and in-house video team.
According to a job advertisement, Nova is seeking an “experienced digital editor” with ideas on how to push the news agenda in a different direction.
The new editor will be responsible for delivering a ‘fresh take’ on entertainment and news, as well as will commission, edit and create video, audio and written pieces for the platform.
Marketing will also be a component of the role.
Goat.com.au isn’t the first brand to tap into younger audiences. It joins the likes of Pedestrian TV, Junkee Media and their Gen Z websites, Pez and Punkee, as well as Snackable.TV and Lost at E Minor.
