Penelope Holloway resigns as managing director of Hill + Knowlton

Hill + Knowlton, one of WPP AUNZ’s PR agencies, is on the hunt for a new managing director following the resignation of Penelope Holloway.

Holloway joined the agency eight years ago as head of consumer and is exiting the agency to relocate to the North Coast of NSW with her family.

Holloway is departing the agency after eight years

“It is because of this remarkable team that I found this decision very difficult. I have decided it is time to invest a little more of my time and focus in my ‘other’ family – the ones at home.

“I’m very proud of my eight years at H+K and all that I have achieved over that time. I am also extremely honoured to have worked with so many talented people – I couldn’t have done it without my wonderful team by my side,” Holloway said in a statement.

Kieran Moore, WPP AUNZ Public Relations and Public Affairs CEO, said an extensive search for Holloway’s replacement has already commenced but Holloway will remain with the agency until a new managing director is appointed.

“Penny brought a unique blend of experience across a range of communications sectors to the business, that resulted in a strong and broad client base. Under her leadership, H+K Strategies has gained a reputation for consistently delivering excellent client work and effective and creative campaigns.

“As a result, we essentially need a communication ‘unicorn’ to replace her – someone with a magical blend of public relations skills across a range of specialist areas, from tech to consumer, health, finance and corporate, teamed with management prowess and organisational focus.” Moore added.

In May last year the agency won Honda’s PR account.
