NRMA Insurance activates ‘My Car is Your Car’ proposition

NRMA Insurance has launched a campaign to push the message that its insurance covers the driver, even if their name is not on the policy.

The announcement:

Former NRMA Insurance Broncos enforcer Shane Webcke is the face of a new version of the award-winning NRMA Insurance My Car Is Your Car campaign, launched last night in Queensland.

Webcke will star in the activation-based campaign that brings to life the benefit that NRMA Car Insurance provides cover to anyone who drives your car – even those not named on the insurance policy.

In addition to Shane starring in both a 30 and 15-second television commercial, he will also be seen at a number of Queensland locations in a car covered with photos of hundreds of people – including some current day Broncos – to showcase how anyone can get behind the wheel of your car when it’s covered by NRMA Car Insurance.

“Cruising about in this car is certainly something different to what I’m used to back home on the Darling Downs. It’s been fantastic to be driven around by few fellow Queenslanders  too, and I’m looking forward to visiting some great locations across our great state,” said Webcke.

“It was a real coup to have Shane involved in the Queensland version of the My Car Is Your Car campaign for NRMA Insurance. This campaign really resonated in other states, and we’ve added a distinct Queensland flavour to bring it to Australia’s sunny state,” said John Lewis, Senior Manager, Advertising and Promotion at NRMA Insurance.

The TVC airs from Sunday 31 July before the activations commence in Brisbane on 6 and 11 August 2011 before travelling to the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast on 18 and 25 August, respectively.
