NSW Maritime appoints PHD to push safety message
PHD has won the strategy and media planning account for NSW Maritime, the state government’s maritime safety department.
The media agency was handed the account without a pitch, with incumbent MediaCom retained to oversee media buying.
PHD will work with Clemenger Group-owned agency Curtis Jones & Brown on communications aimed at improving marine safety in areas such as wearing lifejackets, speed limits, reckless driving, alcohol consumption and limiting environmental damage.
NSW Maritime was created in 2004, replacing the Waterways Authority and the Marine Ministerial Holding Corporation.
Earlier this year PHD appointed Faith Campbell, former Initiative New York vice president, into the role of trading director. She replaced Mark O’Brien who left after little more than a year with the agency.
