Ogilvy PR Melbourne’s MD Adam Vincenzini departs to join Icon Agency Melbourne

Ogilvy PR’s Melbourne managing director Adam Vincenzini has departed the agency to join Icon Agency Melbourne as director of integrated strategy and digital media, Mumbrella can reveal.

Vincenzini will lead Icon Agency’s new specialist content offer and play a role in launching the agency’s Canberra office.

Joining in January this year, Vincenzini spent eight months as the MD of Ogilvy PR Melbourne.

Vincenzini has left the agency to joing Icon Agency

Kieran Moore, Ogilvy PR CEO, said: “Adam Vincenzini was the MD for Ogilvy PR Melbourne for eight months and has moved on to a new role. The decision on Adam’s departure was mutual and we wish him the best in the future.”

Target, NAB and UNIQLO were client rosters Vincenzini oversaw at his time at Ogilvy.

At the time of his entrance into the agency, Vincenzini said: “For the past 10 years in particular, my experience has had a definite digital skew, especially in relation to the development of online content. I was attracted to Ogilvy PR’s broad experience across the entire communications spectrum teamed with its focus on digital.

“And, importantly I will be working with a talented team of practitioners. Plus Ogilvy’s core values resonate with my own values – especially bravery, which I believe is the key component in bringing unconventional solutions to life.”

Prior to joining Ogilvy he was the founder and managing partner at digital agency Kamber.

Between 2012 and 2013, Vincenzini was the head of social media at Mango Communications in Melbourne.

Joanne Painter, managing director of Icon Agency, said: “We are delighted to welcome Adam to our senior leadership team in the capacity as Director of Integrated Strategy and Digital Media, a role he is ideally suited for given his proven strengths in content, social media, advanced analytics and digital media buying.”

Icon Agency’s clients include ME Bank, SkyBus, La Trobe University, Schweppes, Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, Vic Roads and Yarra Trams.
