I enjoyed the promo they ran that began … “Every four years since 1896 …” Ah, except for 1916, 1940 and 1944 because we were KILLING EACH OTHER BY THE MILLIONS.
Even better was they flashed up the dates of all the games … yeah, there it was “Berlin 1916”.
They don’t show that promo anymore.
I am just cringing of the fact that we very likely are going to be smashed with in-programme promos for Big Brother and Farmer Wants a Wife over and over all during the games.
“Usian Bolt” Wins the 100m Final… by the way Big Brother starts 7pm Monday Night”. With a flashy graphic on screen.
If they start giving the betting odds as well before each event then I’ll be going to Foxtel’s Olympics and staying there.
