Olympic gold medalist Michael Klim to speak at Mumbrella360, plus 360Fronts announced

Australian Olympic gold medal winner and founder of skincare brand Milk & Co, Michael Klim, will speak at Mumbrella360 on a panel discussing whether the startup and innovation economy is forgetting marketing and advertising.

Olympic gold medal winner Klim will join a panel discussing the startup economy and its relationship with advertising and marketing

Klim started Milk & Co in 2008 after a professional swimming career that saw him win multiple gold medals across the Olympics, Commonwealth Games and FINA World Championships.

Today, Milk & Co operates a large portfolio of skincare brands and is enjoying rapid growth both in Australia and overseas. The products are sold in around 13 markets and are stocked by some of the world’s biggest and most iconic retailers.

On the panel, Klim will join Rebecca Shears, CMO of OFX, Chris Gillespie, co-founder of Arenberg, David Morgan principal of Morgan, and moderator John Ford, CEO of The One Centre.

Bence will deliver Pacific’s 360Front session

Returning in 2018 is the 360Fronts stage. It gives media the opportunity to present their forward plans in front of Mumbrella360 delegates. Bauer Media, Junkee and Pacific have all been confirmed to reveal their new offerings in sessions on the afternoon of June 13.

Pacific’s commercial director, Nicole Bence, will deliver its upfronts, focusing on a new approach, Seventh Sense. It collects, collates and curates the social, location and transactional data of over 9.6 million Australians and turns this deterministic data into actionable insights.

Ackland and Waterhouse will deliver 360Fronts for Junkee and Bauer Media respectively

Jane Waterhouse, general manager of Story54, will present Bauer Media’s session focusing on the brand’s female futures trend forecast that has become transformative for the business. Meanwhile a group of Junkee Media senior executives led by CEO and founder, Neil Ackland, will deliver insights from Australia’s largest longitudinal study into Australian youth and how it will impact marketers.

Mumbrella360 takes place in Sydney at the Hilton Hotel on June 12-14. Tickets are available here with three-day passes almost sold out. The conference begins with a speed networking session on June 12.
