Olympics coverage continues dominance as The Bachelor struggles

All six of the Seven Network’s Tokyo 2020 Olympics sessions made it into the top fifteen metro programs on Thursday, with the Night session the best of the lot with 1.275 million metro viewers.

The Night session was the #3 program overall and took out all three key advertising demos, and was only beaten by Seven News (1.469 million metro viewers) and Seven News At 6.30 (1.319 million metro viewers).

Also cracking the million metro viewer mark were the Evening session, which had 1.149 million metro viewers, and the Afternoon session with 1.011 million metro viewers.

The Chase Australia, which was sandwiched between the Afternoon session and Seven News, had a huge boost to its audience, climbing to 1.188 million metro viewers.

Both Seven’s Late Night and Morning sessions made it into the top 15 programs as well, as Seven took a 48% share to win the network share stakes.

It was followed by Nine with 20.3%, Ten with 13% and the ABC with 12.1%.

In other entertainment programming, The Bachelor continued its struggles, but managed to make it back into the top 20, with 369,000 metro viewers watching.

Seven’s Sunrise rounded out the top 20, with 330,000 metro viewers. Seven also had the top multi channel 7Mate for the evening.
