OMD appoints Declan O’Dwyer as head of Suncorp
OMD has appointed Declan O’Dwyer as head of its Suncorp account.
O’Dwyer will start his new role on September 30, and will be reporting to OMD Sydney managing director Kim Hamilton.
O’Dwyer previously spent over five years at UM. He started out in 2014 as an associate communications director and held roles including client director, senior client director and group director for Coca-Cola and Lion Beer.
In 2018 O’Dwyer took part in the Marketing Academy Australia Scholarship program.
OMD won the Suncorp business at the end of 2018, including the group’s brands AAMI, GIO and Apia.
Aimee Buchanan, CEO of OMD Australia, said in a statement: “We’ve been searching for the perfect candidate to lead Suncorp and Declan is exactly what we’ve been looking for. His strong leadership qualities and vast industry experience position him perfectly to be a true asset to both Suncorp and the OMD team. We’re delighted he is joining Team OMD.”
