Omnicom’s Hearts & Science expands to Perth through partnership with Rare
Omnicom Media Group’s Hearts & Science is expanding to Perth in a partnership with local independent agency, Rare.
The new agency, Rare Connect: Hearts & Science, will combine the data and technology-led approach of Hearts & Science with Rare’s creative capability.
Emma Cooper, head of client services for OMD WA, will take on the additional role of group communications director for Rare Connect: Hearts & Science.
Rare general manager, Paul Clayton will lead the integration of the new agency offering, and leveraging Hearts & Science’s data and technology capabilities to develop new products.
Hearts & Science Melbourne managing director, Richard Smith said the move will make Rare Connect: Hearts & Science ‘Perth’s largest independently owned integrated agency’.
Rare managing director, Callum Mackenzie, added: “With corporates across all sectors investing heavily in data-driven decision making, we felt the time was right for Rare to join forces with one of the most dynamic data and technology offerings in the market.
“This is a media agency built for a future in which attracting audiences is more important than delivering messages.”
According to the agency, its capability ‘will combine scale with precision, underpinned by leading transparency around data governance and digital media buying’.
Hearts & Science’s Australian launch was announced in June 2017, however it officially entered the market in February.
In September, it was announced that Hearts & Science was launching in New Zealand.
