Peggy – An award winning idea for OMO?

Some obviously completely unrelated facts:

  1. JWT has just launched “Peggy”, the world’s first “smart peg” for OMO which detects when it’s time to bring the washing in;
  2. Punters can’t actually buy Peggy because it’s only “in testing”; they can only register their interest;
  3. OMO claims it actually did research to gain the breakthrough insight that people would rather play with their kids than do everyday chores;
  4. The app shown in the concept video doesn’t seem to be available in the App Store;
  5. They don’t seem to have got round to trademarking the name “Peggy”, which seems unusual if you were even slightly serious about launching a product at the end of the process;
  6. It’s deadline time for entering the Scam Cannes Lions
