One Green Bean announces Simone Gupta as its new CEO
Havas Group’s One Green Bean has announced Simone Gupta as its new CEO.
Gupta will commence work at the agency in early 2020, taking over from incumbent CEO Claire Salvetti who announced in June that she would be stepping down at the end of the year.

Gupta has spent the last seven years in London working at Ogilvy and Edelman, and is currently the managing director of social media agency @London.
She has, however, previously worked with Salvetti at DDB’s PR arm Mango in Sydney, where she was managing director between 2008 and 2012. Salvetti took over as MD of Mango when Gupta relocated to London.
During her time at Mango, Gupta was also a board director for DDB Group.
Gupta said One Green Bean has consistently set the bar for original ideas.
“Returning to Australia to lead the business is a unique opportunity. From my time working together with Claire at Mango, I know the culture and client base she has built will be a good fit, and I’m excited to join the leadership team in the Havas Village,” she said.
Anthony Freedman, chairman of Havas Group Australia and New Zealand, said it it was a thrill to lure Gupta back to Australia.
“Simone has an excellent reputation here in Australia and we are thrilled to lure her back,” he said. “Simone’s heritage is in PR, but over time her experience has broadened to span social and influencer marketing, making her the perfect fit for OGB’s progressive creative communications offering and we are excited to see her take the business to new heights.”
Salvetti added: “Simone is proven talent and an awesome leader. We worked together at Mango when she brought me in to be her successor, and now we have come full circle as she will be my successor. We create similar cultures, focusing on enabling people to be their best, so I know OGB will be in the very best hands.”
Salvetti will be relocating to Barcelona with her partner, Nicole Taylor, who was appointed CEO of DDB-owned bespoke agency C14torce in June.
