One Partners wins Asia-Pac Nokia project
Sydney based agency One Partners has won its first major regional project, with a campaign to support the launch of Nokia’s new smartphone the N8 across five Asia Pacific countries.
One Partners will run Project GeNer8, a short film making competition featuring films made and edited using the device.
Each market will see the campaign fronted by a local director who then selects ten finalists who receive the smartphone to shoot a film.
John McCredie, head of marketing for Nokia Australia & NZ said: “Fame and the seeking of fame have been transformed by the use of technology. The power to grow a fan base without ever taking to the stage, or capturing the perfect sunset, or producing a feature film is now at the fingertips of more people than ever before.”
Justin Singh, managing partner at One Partners, said: “We’re really excited. It’s always great when an Australian independent agency gets to develop strategic work across other Asia Pacific markets.”

Yep… The promotional campaign is modular, providing the SEAP markets with a range of building blocks to activate around – essentially a bank of creative twists to the mobile film comp format – that suit local needs. There are constants; creative theme, digital framework, phases, talent etc, but flexibility on mechanics. Works well. JM
