Ongoing Publicis Media restructure sees Starcom SA and WA GM Mark Clemow leave
Starcom South Australia and Western Australia general manager Mark Clemow, based out of Adelaide, has been made redundant as part of the restructure of Publicis Media’s national media operations following global changes to the group last year.
The agency’s Adelaide office will now be managed out of Melbourne by Naomi Johnson, who becomes general manager of both Starcom Melbourne and Adelaide.
Confirming the move Starcom Australia CEO Toby Barbour said Clemow’s role had been made redundant, but there would be not other changes made to the Adelaide office.
“When Starcom transitioned to the new Publicis Media model, it was important that we moved from separate businesses in each city, to one united brand,” Barbour said.
“While this approach offers efficiencies, more importantly it allows us to access a range of national talent to deliver client solutions every day.
“There is no change in our commitment to the Adelaide market and no more changes planned. Mark has led Starcom Adelaide professionally and we wish him all the best for the future.”
Clemow joined Starcom as GM in 2014, an Adelaide media veteran who has worked with the South Australian government, Advertiser newspapers and TMP Worldwide.
Posting on LinkedIn Clemow said he was now on gardening leave and looking forward to the next step in his professional journey.
