Online location scouting marketplace, Skoutli, launches

Skoutli, an online location scouting marketplace, has launched in Australia, making it easy for brands and producers to find perfect locations.

The announcement:

Online location scouting marketplace Skoutli has officially launched across Australia simplifying the process and reducing the cost of finding a perfect location for content creators.

Traditional location scouting works well for movies and large corporate budgets, but has become inaccessible for mid-level and smaller producers with increasing pressure to create high-quality content faster at low costs .

Caroline Lepron, Founder and CEO of Skoutli, says it has been working directly with producers, scouts and photographers to address key pain points developing technology to provide a full-service online one-stop platform.

“We have seen a gap in the market to provide support to the advertising and creative industry looking for fast solutions and easy access to unique locations fit for their purpose,” Lepron says.

“We have been working with a range of high-profile producers and agencies, and see growing in demand new creatives and influencers who could not afford or access the traditional location scouting services.”

Traditional shoot locations are inflexible in terms of logistics, and lack transparency in availability and pricing. Skoutli aims to alleviate that pain by listing locations either by the room or the full property from just $25 an hour with affordable day rates.

Producers are able to browse, decide and book exactly what they need thanks to an inventory of over 1300 listings across Australia. Before listing, many locations have never been used for shoots providing fresh, original and affordable options for the producers.

The platform also helps navigate essential logistics support such as council approvals, parking space availability onsite and accessibility options, making scouting faster and more affordable for content creators, the influencer market as well as the established media houses.

Skoutli has managed location scouting for diverse campaigns and large organisations wrapping up shoots more recently for eBay, Afterpay and Nutella.

Haley Olsson, producer with the marketing agency, Jack Nimble, says: “Skoutli took the frustration out of finding the ideal location for the eBay video shoot right from suggesting locations to working out logistics to securing them.”

“Producing a video is never easy and I work with really tight schedules,” Olsson adds.

“Skoutli made it easy for me to find a location in time and on budget. It fit my brief perfectly: my director was happy, the crew was happy and the client was happy. Can’t wait to work together again really soon.”

For consumers, Skoutli is open to any Australian home, car, boat or any other unique property/location that Australians have to list with an ever-growing list of beautiful, quirky and new locations on its platform.

Lepron says: “This gives Australians a new way of making extra cash from their homes, especially if they don’t have the option or don’t feel safe to rent a spare bedroom overnight. I hope that this money will help some to pay their bills and others to start their dream project that they couldn’t afford”

It’s free to list and gives users the flexibility to set up their own price and availability. Any damage to the property is covered by Skoutli.
