oOh! Media expands billboard footprint with iOM agreement

Outdoor media company oOh! media has expanded its billboard footprint under a new agreement with large format business iOM.

The announcement:

oOh! Media will soon be offering national advertisers access to an additional 169 billboards within Melbourne, after signing a sales agency representation agreement with large format business iOM.

The agreement, to take effect from next Monday, sees oOh! responsible for national agency sales of iOM’s Melbourne billboards, which includes key locations on the Westgate Freeway, Western Ring Road and the iconic Flinders Street Station billboard in the CBD.

It also sees the company add a further six sites in Sydney and one in Adelaide to its national agency offering. These additions, plus new sites built by oOh! in Queensland and NSW in recent months, extends oOh!’s position as market leaders in every state in Australia.

Under the agreement, iOM will continue to sell its billboards to direct clients.

Group Director – oOh! Road, Noel Cook, said the agreement was not only a positive outcome for the two companies, but would provide great benefit to national advertisers and their agencies.

“Through the agreement national advertisers gain the quality and reach offered by the two companies’ billboards from one centralised operation,” Mr Cook said.

“We now provide complete coverage for national advertisers, including geographical reach across Melbourne’s fastest growing development corridors.

“The additional sites will complement our existing portfolio which includes billboards in key Melbourne locations such as St Kilda Junction, Bourke Street Mall and ‘Big Tulla’ at Essendon Airport.”

iOM’s Managing Director, Leah Whitford, said iOM was excited to partner with oOh! and believed the combined billboard inventory would provide national advertisers access to the best sites in Melbourne.

“oOh is a fantastic organisation with the strongest away-from-home offering in the marketplace,” Ms Whitford said.

“We believe that through partnering with such a professional organisation we can streamline the buying process for media buyers.”

Other recent additions to oOh!’s road inventory includes three new billboards in the Queensland, which includes the Gateway Motorway, the Pacific Motorway and Breakfast Creek Road in Brisbane, and a new billboard on Sydney’s M2.
