Optus to sponsor Sky News Business tech program
Optus has signed a twelve month contract as the sponsor of Technology Behind Business – a weekly program owned by Sky News Business.
The announcement
Optus Business today announced an exclusive 12-month sponsorship with Sky News Business in support of its new weekly Technology Behind Business program, which debuted on Saturday, 2 October 2010.
As technology becomes an ever-more-critical component of doing business, Technology Behind Business examines the latest trends and analyses key IT concepts, airing weekly on Fridays at 9:30pm (AEST) on Sky News Business. Hosted by Bridie Barry, each week an expert panel will focus on one type of technology or strategy,
explaining its use without the jargon, outlining the pros and cons and providing tips designed specifically for small to medium business. Sky News Business technology reporters will also wrap the week’s key IT stories and review the latest gadgets and websites.
Scott Mason, Director of Fixed Products, Marketing and Strategy at Optus Business, said “Optus is proud to sponsor Technology Behind Business as part of our commitment to helping businesses build competitive advantage through technology.
“The program will deliver insightful news and commentary to assist decision-makers in utilising technology to support business strategy. The 2009 Optus Business Challenges Index found that local businesses are challenged to stay competitive in Australia’s small domestic market, so the program will explore themes such as how technology can improve competitiveness and aid regional expansion.”
Optus Business and Sky News Business will also launch a dedicated Technology Behind Business YouTube channel later this month. In addition, Optus will launch a free Technology Behind Business mobile application exclusively for its mobile customers in early 2011 to enable viewers to catch up on content on the move.
Technology Behind Business airing times
Every Friday at 9.30pm (AEDT) on Sky News Business; program is repeated every Saturday at 10am (AEDT) and
Sunday at 9:30am (AEDT).
