Oscar-winning film maker Adam Elliot to present BE Fest Awards
Oscar winner Adam Elliot is to present next week’s APAC Branded Content & Entertainment Awards.
The awards take place at Luna Park in Sydney next Thursday night as part of the Festival of Branded Content & Entertainment, organised by Mumbrella’s parent company Focal Attractions.
Elliot is an independent filmmaker and animator. He won the Oscar at the 2004 Academy Awards for best animated short film for his work Harvie Krumpet – the story of an unlucky but optimistic Polish refugee in Australia. He also created the claymation film Mary & Max which took more than $1m at the Australian box office.
The awards represent 12 categories of branded content and branded entertainment including transmedia, storytelling, gaming, experiential and music. The shortlist can be viewed here. The 30 jurors represent best practice on branded entertainment from around Australia and the rest of the world.
Last year’s grand prix was won by The Monkeys for Ship Song Project.
The conference and awards take place next Thursday October 3.
