Pacific Magazines CEO appointed chair of Magazine Networks board

Pacific Magazines CEO Gereurd Roberts has been appointed chair of the board of Magazine Networks.


The announcement:

Magazine Networks today announced the appointment of Gereurd Roberts, CEO of Pacific Magazines, as the new Chair of its Board, effective immediately.

Magazine Networks is the industry body for Magazine Publishers and includes Bauer Media, NewsLifeMedia and Pacific Magazines. The industry body has recently undergone a rebrand and a name change to better signify how magazines are multi-platform brands, with a network of engaged audiences across platforms.

Gereurd Roberts has been recently appointed CEO of Pacific Magazines and, as Chairman of Magazine Networks continues from Peter Zavecz who has recently moved back to Melbourne with News Corp.

Gereurd Roberts comments: “Our brands have more influence across more platforms than any other medium – it’s a privilege to take on this role, leading such a vibrant and dynamic industry.

“I look forward to expanding the presence of Magazine Networks and to helping commercial partners exploit our brands’ personal and powerful connections with audiences across all consumer touchpoints.”

Roberts has nearly two decades of publishing experience, including roles at Guardian News and Media, ACP Magazines (now Bauer Media) and as an editor, publisher and Commercial Director prior to his most recent role at Pacific Magazines.
