Lifestyle mag Just Be launches on iPad

Reed Pacific Magazines has launched its new woman’s lifestyle magazine  – Just Be –  on the iPad.

The announcement:

January 14, 2011 — A new women‘s lifestyle magazine has launched this week on iPad, with the quarterly publication focusing on fragrance, fashion and beauty.

Titled Just Be, the magazine was launched in response to growing popularity of the fashion and beauty blog justbemagazine.com.

Edited by Harriet Farkash, the magazine includes features from Kellie Hush, Mia Timpano and Alicia Pyke, while the images have been shot by one of Australia‘s leading beauty photographers Steven Chee.

Just Be is now available from iTunes for just $2.45.

Proving Just Be is about substance as much as it is style, the issue is jam packed with musings from some of Australia‘s most exciting writers.

Of course, every delectable word needs a side serving of pretty pictures and Just Be has no shortage of photographic inspiration for our stylish readers. The ten-page shoot by renowned Aussie photographer Steven Chee (whose career crosses from Vogue editorials to Absolut Vodka campaigns and back again) stars the latest ‗It‘ model Shanay Hall. Shanay was transformed from blonde beauty to 1950s goddess by make-up artist to the supermodels – and stars – Victoria Baron.

Doug McNamee, Reed Pacific Media Marketing Manager, said it is an exciting start for a magazine which has been developed to satisfy demand.

―We chose to launch the first issue of Just Be as an iPad publication as this was accessible to our enthusiastic existing readers, those going to the website [justbemagazine.com]. We are all very pleased with the magazine and are very excited to produce the first print edition in early 2011,‖ said Mr McNamee.

Just Be first issue is like meeting a new best friend. Just Be is always on hand for fashion advice, willing to spill the best beauty tricks, there to make you feel good and is always up for a cheeky laugh over a glass of champers.
