PacMags launches first iPad play with Men’s Health
Pacific Magazines today entered the tablet publishing market with the launch of its first iPad app for the August issue of Men’s Health.
Creative director David Ashford said: “We know our readers love our exercise routines, for example, so we can now show the full range of movement through animation. Add to that bespoke elements like a format-friendly contents page and a personal workout log, and I think we’ve created something that will really excite readers looking for their favourite magazine in digital form.”
In addition to the editorial content of the August print issue, the Men’s Health app also features behind-the-scenes footage of its cover shoot with swimmer James Magnussen.
Karen Deveson, publisher, of PacMags’ healthy lifestyle group, said: “The Men’s Health iPad edition is an incredibly dynamic extension of the brand.”
All advertisers in the August print issue also feature in the iPad edition which is priced at $6.49.

Be very interested to see the numbers on this. I’m guessing it will be tiny. How many people own iPads in Australia? Divide that by two for male audience and you have a pretty small market.
