Palace to open Double Bay complex

Palace Cinema has announced a six screen complex will open in Cross Street Double Bay in 2012-13 in the former Stamford Plaza Hotel site.

Managing Director and Founder of Palace Cinemas, Mr Antonio Zeccola said in a statement, “Palace has been looking for some time for the perfect location to expand our operations in eastern Sydney.  The community really felt the loss when the much loved cinemas on New South Head Road closed several years ago and I’m sure they will be delighted with the news that Palace will bring the very best in high-end cinema experience to Double Bay.”

“We don’t take a cookie cutter approach to cinema” said Mr Zeccola. “We design each of our locations to complement the local environment and proudly claim that, with each new cinema, we raise the bar of the cinema-going experience.”

The announcement by Palace follows another in March that the independent exhibitor would open a complex in Green Square Town Centre, near Sydney airport, also due to open in Late 2012.

The largest independent cinema operator in Australia, Palace operate 85 screens in 20 locations nationwide.
