Palin Communications appoints Scottish health media officer Yvonne Gallagher
Healthcare PR agency Palin Communications has appointed Yvonne Gallagher, former health team media officer for the Scottish government, as an account manager.

Specialist Sydney-based healthcare PR consultancy Palin Communications has added a new Account Manager to its team with the recruitment of Yvonne Gallagher, who has recently moved to Australia from her native Scotland.
Yvonne’s most recent role was as a Media Officer in the Health Team for the Scottish Government. In this position Yvonne dealt with media interest in the swine flu epidemic and its implications in Scotland – along with many other health-related issues.
Prior to her public sector position she was a Senior Account Manager for over three years at Glasgow-based Barkers PR where she led campaigns that raised awareness of the risks associated with high blood pressure and worked on projects related to community education on prostate cancer.
Palin Communications Managing Director Martin Palin is delighted with the recruitment.

In the first instance, Yvonne will take over the portfolio of departing Account Manager Margo Field, who is heading overseas to live and work in the UK. There are also a range of new projects emerging on which Yvonne will be the lead.
