Paris Cowan joins iTnews.com.au
Paris Cowan has joined the reporting team at iTnews.com.au .
The announcement:
Haymarket Media has welcomed former Intermedium online editor Paris Cowan to the team of journalists covering enterprise technology at iTnews.com.au.
Paris has spent the past few years honing her skills as a journalist and online editor at Intermedium and has developed strong connections with IT executives across the public sector.
She will now join iTnews’ editorial team, based in Sydney, reporting in to Editor Charis Palmer.
“Paris impressed us with her maturity and solid track record of interviews with senior public sector IT professionals,” said Palmer said.
“She’s clearly worked hard to build up a following of readers in a relatively short time period, and we felt the iTnews audience would enjoy her style.”
Group Online Editor Brett Winterford said readers can expect the iTnews team to continue to break the most important stories in Australia’s tech industry – exemplified by winning Best News Coverage at this year’s Lizzies. Haymarket also plans to continue to expand the breadth and depth of iTnews’ awards, research and event programs.
The iTnews editorial team now includes Paris Cowan, 2013’s Best New Journalist Allie Coyne, Ry Crozier, Charis Palmer and Brett Winterford on a full-time basis, plus a string of regular contributors including New Zealand-based Juha Saarinen.
Paris starts on July 8, 2013.
