Patrick Darcy becomes head of Cadreon after Darren Stein departs as CEO

Darren Stein has departed IPG Mediabrands’ advertising technology division, Cadreon, as its CEO.

Replacing Stein is Cadreon’s managing director Patrick Darcy. Darcy has been promoted to the role of head of Cadreon.

Dracy is now the head of Cadreon

In 2016, IPG Mediabrands merged its analytics and insights specialist agency Anomaly with the group’s technology and activation specialist Cadreon.

The new agency was called Cadreon and Stein was named CEO.

Danny Bass, who announced his departure as IPG Mediabrands’ CEO last week, said in a statement: “Pat’s agile leadership style means that he is perfectly positioned to drive Cadreon into the future.”

Yean Cheong, head of Cadreon APAC, added: “Cadreon Australia are constantly innovating. Over the last two years, we have partnered with Pat’s team to diversify Cadreon’s strategic capabilities and value proposition; which keeps us well ahead of the curve when it comes to serving messages to consumers that resonate, at that right moment, and with minimum wastage.”

“Our deliberate investment in data at both a network and agency level means that our advertising technology unit in Cadreon is both advanced and highly effective, with a secured channel of growth. I’m confident that Pat will help shape the future of that offering with Cadreon Australia,” Leigh Terry, CEO at IPG Mediabrands APAC, said.
